Acura EL/Honda Domani front end interchangeable with Civic Coupe and Hatch?
I was looking up stuff on a Honda DOmani/EL front end conversion, and one of the websites I went to, the owner of an EL suggested putting the front end on a Civic HB or coupe. Are the panels interchageable with those cars?

from what i know, the domani frontend conversion requires a whole new front end (fenders, headlamps, bumper, etc)... i think the hood line is different as well.

the conversion needs new hood, bumper, fenders, headlights, grill, core support, grill lights, etc it's a really expensive conversion because there's a lot more to it than just hood fender bumper and headlight like the s14 conversion, this is the conversion i've been wanting to do for the last year, and could have had it had i not desided a swap was more important than looking good, moral of the story, you always want what you don't have

domani's are sold in japan and europe, it's basicly a 4 door civic with a 1.6 vtec sohc
also sold in canada under the name acura 1.6 EL
i believe in japan suzaki or issuzu also have a version of the car called a gemeni
oh i just found out while digging around the clear bumper lens are from an accord, also on another intresting note, the domani/acura EL also has a really neat interiour console thing the replaces the panle that your 12v socket is on a 6gen, in it's place there is a DIN slot where you can mount up a tape player what what ever, looks like a really good place to add in some gauges

ViS makes a JDM Domani Conversion with Ace Lip. They have it on there website applied to a 6th Generation Honda Civic Coupe, and it comes with everything to convert your cars front end from a 6th Generation Honda Civic to a Honda Civic Domani/Acura EL to my knowledge. I E-Mailed them about this conversion because I wanted to get it for my Hatchback. However they said I needed to phone them, to find out about fitment. You can also buy a carbon fibre hood for this conversion kit.
I still want to do a JDM Integra front end on my EG hatch.
THAT would look SWEET.

Mojo-Jojo: Actually it looks like an Acura 1.6 EL, because that's where the front end is from. :D

Ahhh I like that.
Looks like an accord.
Gives it that whole honda image... which if you ask me USDM Civics lack.
Me like alot.
To bad I couldn't do that for my EG.
Oh well.
Sounds kinda expensive, wouldn't want to get into any kind of fender bender with that on a car.
Looks good though.

Okay then...the Acura EL looks very much like the Accord. I think it looks boring.

Yes BUT:
1. There never was an Integra hatch shaped like my EG.
2. Integra fronts are better looking than Accord fronts.
3. I was talking about the JDM Integra front, so, actually it wouldn't look just like a USDM Integra.

but good luck on locating that front end, the normal price on a domani conversion is $2500 but when considering it's all oem parts and not a bunch of cheap ass fiberglass mock up $hit like the S14 conversion
which heres a picture of that for everyone that's not seen it eather http://www.wholesalehyperformance.co...e-integra3.jpg
i just don't like that weird gap left by using the factory core support, would look much better imo with some kinda covering to get rid of the gappieness

I saw an EK with one...looks out of proportion. I recommend only coupes and sedans do this.

Mojo-Jojo: Your a hypocrite.
"1. There never was an Integra hatch shaped like my EG."
Well there never was a Domani Coupe, or Hatchback either, so I don't see where your going with your non valid points. I didn't see Acura producing a 1.6EL Coupe, or Hatchback either.
[EDIT]: Any have photos of this conversion on an EK Hatchback? I'd really like to see what it looks like before I go out, and spend the money on a kit I might not even like on my car.
