On my '92 EG8 the driver side back door handle is getting tight (hard to pull on to release the latch). I'm thinkin' remove the panel and WD-40 all the moving parts in the door. But first I wanted to see if anyone else knows EXACTLY where it might be from past experience.
It is so tight, that if I forget to push it back in before I drive off the door flies open. Luckily I found this out when pulling out of a space at my work parking lot which at the time, was completely empty. Yeah, I haven't used that door in a while (maybe EVER).
Thanks in advance.

and now, the long awaited pics of the new ride! she's not a civic, but she does have 4 doors (more than that actually, since she's a wagon!)!
1st set:
mods list:
Yakima cross bars
Hella 530 fog lights
DIY black housing headlights with DIY city lights
K&N drop in filter
2nd set:
new mods list:
JDM sidemarkers
JDM window visors
Hella 530s painted yellow
full City light compliment throughout headlamps
and there you have it folks, the saga continues with a new car, and a new company. for those that don't know (and especially for those considering a WRX or STI!), tuning subarus is ******* expensive! parts are hard as hell to find, and very pricey when you do find them. JDM parts are even worse, IF you find them. the subaru tuning community goes for drastically different things than the honda community does though, so in some ways it's actually more flexible.

oh the wagon's a blast man! it's pretty damn heavy (like 3200 lbs!), but it does have the AWD, and it puts like 120 lb/ft of torque to the wheels! i have to admit that i've been challenging quite a few cars the past couple months, and the wagon has done fairly well. too bad it's another automatic, but i've since found that a EJ20 from a WRX will bolt right into the engine bay with no problems.

Mechanically, subie swaps are easier than hondas. Electrically.....have fun.
Slowly wiring a friends jdm sti engine into a 98 legacy.
Did you ever check out boxer4racing.com like I told you? .....do it!

yeah i went and checked out that site, and a bunch of others. so far eBay has remained my best chance for anything good (that's where i got the sidemarkers and the visors, almost got a used header off there too). i found one site that specializes in two things: 1) modifying old subarus into fully equipped off-road combat vehicles (!); and 2) assault guns and accessories!!!!!!!!
i think it's actually all meant for hunting, but still, freakin' crazy shit! :eek
i know what you mean about the electrical stuff though. right now i'm going through the process of upgrading all the grounds. this time i'm just using a big ass length of 8 guage wire from home depot, cause i think the 4 guage i used on the civic was massive overkill. i made a custom grounding bracket at the spot where the battery is grounded to the chassis, and so far it seems to be working pretty well. i just need to ground the tranny, both cylinder heads, and the alternator, and i should be good. there's still a bunch of other sensors though, and i'm thinking about running smaller grounds (maybe 14 guage?) from each of them. haven't yet decided on that though.
one thing i'm very pleased to have found out though, is that pretty much anything made for an impreza will work with a legacy from the same year range (even some of the body parts work!). it's not like a civic and an accord, where nothing works exactly.
on a slight tangent, i browsed through the latest SCC, and saw the Galant VR-4 that is part of the cover story. while a nice car, it's got me looking for an old Legacy turbo now as a second project car, since i never got to have the two civics.

My favorite yard has just as many subies as hondas. But, they are old older legacy's and imprezas. Most of the legacy's are turbo models. I will check when I run there but I dont recall of ever seeing a GT.
