To me, it sounds a little coincidental that your car was stolen on the day or day before you were about to sale it. I hate to say it, but a high percentage of the people who steal cars know the owner. It makes it really easy to steal a car if you know where the owner is and how long he will be there (I will say that I am a very paranoid person) . I am really sorry for your loss. Everytime I hear a story like this, I wonder how far I should go in customizing my 4 door civic. When it starts to get a lot of attention, it can become a target.

Were I live in CT we had a couple of weeks where 2-3 times a week my brothers hatch, his buddies integra, and my sedan were targeted to be stolen...however, you can steal them when the coil wire to the msd coil is gone as well as the fuel pump fuse....we pull those items every night, and the teg always has a clutch lock on it....
simple low tech solutions....theives don't think about that shit because they are not smart...thats why they steal...my suggestion is if you are in an area that your car is at risk, pull a critical fuse, coil wire, ect, anything you can easily remove and replace, that will make your car not run...

sorry for your loss man. I had my hatch stolen from my college last year, I found it in queens 3 weeks later with jst the wires slashed under the dash and the ignition fucked up. All they took were my cds. I think it was an inside job. O nad the police impounded it when I found it too for a week it was a nightmare. I know how u feel man but I did have theft on my car and eventually got it back and fixed. Im really sorry for you thieves suck.

when my buddy bought his RX-8 we were sitting on his front porch at 3AM in the shadows just shootin the shit... when what do u know.. 2 black guys stroll up and start looking in his windows. we didnt say shit, but we grabbed the baseball bats we had next to us (we play baseball alot and had em sitting there from earlier) and just sat there watching. they never even bothered to look to see if anyone could see em...
they broke his window, unlocked his door... then got their asses BEAT.
we broke one guys knee, another elbow and beat em half to death...
we got fined for it, they got arrested...
1 year later... same situation except we are inside and I notice ppl near our cars... we go out there, turn on the flood lights... same 2 dumbshits... we beat their asses all over again and this time the cops just looked the other way. bwahahhaa.
one of the guy's little brothers tried to steal my civic... runs in the family I guess...

if every theif got their ass beat down, we prob wouldn't have as many theives. But most are never caught, and when they are only get a slap on the wrist. Ridiculous, and kinda shows why it's such a recurrent problem. Glad you beat em down, prob didn't need to mention the skin color, but either way they got what they deserved
