Engine info?

I heard somewhere that there was a 92-95 1.5l vtec engine. Is this true? from what i can tell the only vtec engine that is in 92-95 is the d16z6. If so, is the o2 sensor a 5 wire 2 cell o2 sensor? Also, if there was a 1.5l vtec in 92-95, what car (model) did it come out of? Just curious. Thanks for the help.

civic vti came with the jdm d15b sohc vtec.

For the US market, there was the 92-95 Civic VX hatchback with the D15Z1 VTEC-E engine. I believe it has a crazy 5 or 6 wire O2 sensor.

yes, but it had the d16z6 which was 1.6L.

JDM d15b had the z6 head and a z1 block, with different pistons, i believe z6 pistons. The VX had a 2 or 3 wire o2 or something like that?

vx came with 1.5l E-Vtec which has a 5 wire o2 sensor i believe.

do any of you guys know if the a aftermarket cam for a z6 will work in the d15b? i have a d15b i am about to replace my z6 with because its toast, but i want to use the comp cam and skunk 2 gear i have on my z6.
also, i read that in 95 the d15b came with 3-stage vtec and that there are two vtec sensors on the intake mani?? the d15b i have says its a 95, yet in that asia.vtec.net/d15b article it says that only the older models of the d15b came with black valve cover and 95's have a silver cover, mine says its a 95 but it has a black cover.
i am so confused...hope it all works..

Depends on which jdm d15b you are talking about. The 130ps jdm d15b sohc vtec had 3-stage vtec, so I doubt that it would be a z6 head.
