I got a '95 Civic DX Couple and for some reason both the driver and passenger side headlight wires keep getting burn. The the ground wire (and I think one other wire) keeps getting burnt. I've checked my all my fuses and replaced the headlight fuses since it was burnt, but that wasn't it either, and I've also checked my cd player harness to make sure there was no loose wires. Now I'm stuck. I don't know what else to do. Can anyone help me?
Are the sockets getting burned? Your probably gonna have to replace those with a more durable one.Or could be a possible ground issue.
Socket meaning the plug that goes to the headlight? The passenger side is completely burnt, so I cut it and threw it way. I wanna fix the burning issue first before buying a new plug for it.

You need a new plug.Depending on how bad your first socket burned, the ground and either the low or high came into contact causeing the socket to melt.Try installing to sockets and using stock Halogen bulbs.

Well, I don't really wanna buy a new plug yet until I fix the problem because the plug might just get burnt again.

make sure the wires ain't touching other wires or anything like that. make sure they are both the same brightness and one isn't alot dimmer then the other one. All that kind of stuff. More than likely it's the ground issue though.

Both the headlights are the same brightness. I used black tape on the wires so none of them are touching each other, but the black tape only lasts for about a week or so before they get burned up. Then I'll have to tape it up again. Do you know the source of the problem?
