100% agreement from me. You could also go visit d-series dot org. They have good advice, and are generally warm inviting people. Except when there are flames. Then it's hot. Too hot for some...
ok I'm done.

I've been dealing with this for 3 years how redundant do you think it is for you? let alone me. some others have been dealing with it much longer

yup that's why i pointed him in that direction. they a journal bearings too. i like journal bearings for turbo beginners. but they are also oil and water cooled so he needs to run an oil and water line to the turbo. he could prolly make a good 230whp with it and a tune

Yeah, i can see those numbers. Those are small, so idk, but he may be getting pretty close to maxing out the turbo at that point. How tricky are running those line though? So you can get a nice flow within a small radius... Oh and do the sr t-25s vary at all compared to the DSMs? i mean they are both garretts..

speaking of nissan, my brothers girl has a 240(brother has one to but its still being built) well we went to put new tires on it. he had gotten some 350z rims and mounted them up on the car. well thats not the point of this but he needed me to drive the car from house to shop then back to house. I haven't driven in a 240 too much but I have driven in a couple different powered versions just not very long one was a stock ka, built na ka and a built sr20. hers is a mild tune ka. after driving it today I really missed driving one for the short time I had before. and well besides the head room I really am thinking about getting one. maybe a s13 in good shape but I would rather a s14. even with the head room issues.

from what i was told the sr25's are larger than the mitsu ones. they max out at 250rwhp on sr20's. they are very responsive and reliable. the lines shouldn't be tough to run on a d-series. he has to get aftermarket ones of course. but the oil and water cooled journal bearing are very reliable. the stock internal waste gate on an sr t25g is set at .5 bar or 7 psi. they max out at 14 psi reliably but at 7 psi on stock d-series comp ratio. you should have a very peppy civic and you sould be able to hang with stock k20 powered cars and walk modded b-series. now if you turn up the boost you should have a mid 14 second car easily ons tock suspension. at 230whp you'd have a mid 13 second civic at stock body weight
