no he doesn't he has a gt2871r .84 or a gt30r if it's still bottem mount. if it's top mount he prolly has a t3/t4 50 trim or a gt30r. s15 turbo is good to 310whp tops on pump gas. the gt28rs aka. disco potatoe is good ot 350rwhp max

my brothers going with a ca this time hes done a ka and a built sr20. sr was putting down at least 375. he was still dailing it in when the motor broke. they guy who assembled it. didn't do such a good job as he said he could. he sold off everything after that. now hes starting again with another 240. he had gotten another 240 with the ka in it with a few things he swapped it into the other car got it running then hes girls engine went and he put it in hers. it has header exhaust and a few other tricks to it. he first told me he was building a sr for it but got the ca for free so hes building it.

I have seen 1 d series built running at 267 with this turbo. its been quite a whil and I've only seen 1 run it that high. normally I see them stop at 250. with a stock block yeah 250 is higher than even I would go. i stop at 225 to stay safe. but there is that one guy that hit over 300 on a stock block. he was trying to take the block to its limit, the motor never did break I believe. but then again from his testimony he spent 1000's of hours tuning it.

i said around 265 hehe. but yes a d-series would max out later than a 240 because it has less drivetrain loss. but that would be on a build motor and that turbo maxed out. i would just get a used gt28 and make 280whp more reliably

top mount means it atleast has a t3 flange on it. nobody goes top mount to run a bigger turbo and retain a shitty t2 flange. if i went top mount i'd have a t3 flanged gt2871r .64 that'd be pushing about 10 psi at 2700 rpms on my motor and full 20 psi by 3500 rpms and making around 400rwhp with some cams and an intake manifuld. some nice response to keep up with modded v8's

for what motor? i wouldn't put that on anything under 2.2 liters in my preference and 2.0's is the absolute smallest i would ever go

no it's a ca18det. it's a 1.8 turbo motor from the 180sx. it's basically an rb skyline motor with 2 less cylinders. they are torqueless motors with overcomplicated heads. but they love to rev
