My new header :D

NEW PIC

little disapointed I wont see all the perdy color changes from the heat cycles.Anyone know what to use to protect the wrap form water ect.? header paint on top of it work?

Got my new header today and I raped it, i ordered 1"x50' and I ran out and couldnt do the 2-1 secton but o well the rest of it looks nice.

The old header is being a BITCH and just wont leave, i snapped some of my dads walmart tools today and tommorow I need to barrow a friends tools. also if anyone could hep, how do you get the 2 bolts undet the heat shield holders. I plan on taking the bottom peace off and then try and get to them from underneeth. also, my o2 sensor is rust welded onto the old collector any ideas of removal tried heating and sprays, cant get good levrege from under the car. we'll see how easy it is to slide the new header in tommorow wish me luck

PS will dyno in a week or 2 and tell you the diference(will try and go on a day with similar weather)

Looks great i hope you like it. as for the o2 sensor take it off when you have the stocker off that way you can get some good leverage. what do you mean the 2 bolts under the heat shield? are they one that hold the heat shield on or are they ones that hold the header on, on mine i just took the heat shield off.

EDIT: i checked at auto zone how much is a new o2 sensor its $250 I think ill get it off no matter what. or a junk yard, anyone know if obd-1(z6?) o2 sencors are compatable with a 2000 civic ex

dude i bought a primary for 80 at auto zone, i can only assume that since its the secondary is why its so much. sorry about the bolts man mine came off rather quick but i guess if they salt roads up there it would make it worse. and you mean the bolts that hold the header to the head ones that are sticking out? and which bolt exactly is it that broke the tool? take some pics

I got the old header off with my craftsman bolt outs, cant wait for my tool set from craftsman wednesday its taking so long because of the walmart tools. now my last obsticle is the o2 sensor in the old header its rustwelded, I tried heating and all kinds of srays ect still nothing anyone know what size wrench it is, I can oly get an adjustable one onto it.

what broke the tool is the bolt was stuck and i put like a 2ft bar onto the soccet wrench and pushed, to much tq for the duralast 3/8 to 1/4 adapter

there is a sensor in the header and one in the cat right, i need the header one so that would be the primary correct?. F that I could buy a wideband for 50-60 mor bucks

Looks pretty good. You don't have to do anything tp protect them, just the wrap gets very delicate after time. I just used the wire that came with the wrap and twisted it instead of the big clamps...a little less noticable.
The under hood temps drop greatly with the wrap.

they make a special socket for o2 sensors, you can pick one up at any parts store. it has a section out of it fro the wirs to go in so you don't cut them with conventional stuff.

di d you have a cel afet mine has now been on for a day its burning a hole in my eye ball lol. I got the code read at auto zone it said that the sensor was reading a low voltage, I think there may be some static or something in the wires, Ill get some anti static spray and should fix it(gives better conductivity)
