so here is my question: why do altezza rearlights look "ricey", i mean over here in holland ya don't see em alot, my friend has them on his car, they look cool. Maybe its cos we are a little behind on the car tuning scene over here, i don't know.

If u have a 10 sec car and u want clear lights hold your head up... but if u got a car the does 20's forget it, spend the money making the car quicker.......

i just think theyre plain ugly. and most of the people who have them, only have altezzas, and nothing else. if a car is completely decked out and that person chooses to have altezzas, more power to them. but for most people, it is their only mod, and they think theyre badass for it

i agree, i think cars look really really retarded when the only mod they have is altezzas. i think the carbon fiber ones look pretty good on most cars, if they have other stuff to go along with it. i really hate the chrome ones though, i've never seen any that look good yet.
Compared to the stock housing I think they look cheap and gimmicky. Now flushing in some other lens onto your ride might still look ugly (or really good), but at least that takes some skill and craftsmanship.
I think that they carbon fiber altezzas look great on black Civics...
However, it's your ride...do what you want with it...ya know?

I thought certain types of them were kinda cool(the ones with good round lights). but after a day or so... i saw how they were all bright n shiny withlame chrome housings, and didnt match any car AT ALL

i agree .. too many people have the clear whites, the carbo fiber or black chrome ones look nice
I never really liked them, just personal preference, I like my 99' stockers, more people have those then do altezzas, so I don't think it's the majority factor. I think I just don't like them, or anything else for that matter, that dosen't look like it belongs to the car. that's why all those wild body kits don't look good to me, it just seems like something no one would ever put on a car in the first place because it was never even BASED on something functional. Spoilers, CF hoods, rims, lip spoilers, etc. seem alright, because at one time they were designed to be functional, they had a purpose wether or not they still do remains to be seen.

I agree, some do look awful, but i like mine. They look pretty good. (gen 3 altezzas) on the dark blue paint, not bad. Some thought really just suck. But i got mine awhile back and dont feel like paying more money to get something more up-to date when i could use it on the engine. my .02
I have them on mine... I am taking them off asap though. Going to go with the cleaner 99/00 tails. The only reason I got them was because I got them for like 80 bucks off EBay. THey're pretty good quality too.
