hey guys, quick question...
i want these lights:
unfortunatley, these are only for the coupe and hatch. my front bumper and fenders need to be replaced anyway, so i was wondering, do i need to get just the coupe front clip and sedan fenders to make these lights fit, or both the coupe front clip and coupe fenders?
i don't know if the difference between the two is just the bumper or the bumper AND the fenders...
thanks

commador can back me up on this one since he's actually done that conversion, but from what i understand, the sedan bumper actually can work with the coupe/hatch fenders, but it isn't an exact fit. i've also been told that coupe/hatch fenders on the sedan aren't an exact fit anyway, so you'll most likely have to wrestle with it a bit.
have you tried e-mailing TYC to see if they have an application for the EG8 yet?

i appreciate your response, and probably should have posted this in the thread i made regarding the lights -but i knew commador had done the conversion so i was looking for his input.
the bottom line is i have to get a new front clip and fenders ANYway (dents and dings galore), so instead of getting the sedan ones and "making them fit", i can just get the coupe clip and fenders, you know?
i just don't know if all i need is the coupe clip, or both the coupe clip AND fenders....
thanks commador.

Yup. You can get coupe fenders and a bumper, and all will be well. The hoods are the same for practical reasons. There is a slight difference, but I have a coupe hood on my car, so it does work.
Besides, to be honest, I like that FE better....specially with OEM yellow fogs and a nice shiny IC....... ......
....and a mugen lip.....amber corners........hid's..... ........

do i need a coupe hood to make the lights fit? or did you just do that for fun? i don't want to have to "make them fit", as i won't be doing the work - a bodyshop will... and if they don't fit, they'll either charge me more or won't install them.
finally, do you have a close-up picture of your headlights? front end?
i need to really do my research on this. worst case scenario i'll just get the two piece sedan lights, but i figure since i have to replace my front bumper and fenders anyway, why not get the lights i like, right? but if those lights would also require me getting a new hood, forget it, i'll make do with the sedan lights...
thanks

I needed a hood for my car and got a great price on a coupe CF. The reason I knew it fit is because I borred eg's hood for about a week last summer when his car didnt run, and I needed a hood to get around.
As for the headlight pics, I will snap some good ones tomorrow while the weather is nice.

no, what I was saying was there is no difference between them. Your stock hood will work with those lights, the lights themselves are the same, the only difference is the corners. I just used a coupe hood since I got a good price on it.
