ahh, just got back from the carwash. On the way I was behind a wanker in a v6 firebird who always drives by my house and pins the throttle in what sounds like 2nd and goes steady by. I wouldve put him in his place, but having a clean car is more important than wasting expenisve gas to prove a point.
I wish I couldve gone to this sweet ass place I found last weekend for pics. Its way up high on a hill overlooking the city. Would be a pretty cool pic with the town down below and the parking lights on. Mabey I will do that soon and post them.
Ive had this crazy idea for a while, if I ever get a CF trunklid (now that I know they are made, or can get one made) what do you think of the idea of getting a sheet of CF, and resining it to the roof and then lay down clear?? For the most part working with CF is the same as fiberglass. Lay down the sheet, apply resin, dry, clear coat. What do you think??

where the piss do you find a complete c1 for 1500? if i would have known that, i would have done that instead of a d15b.
meanwhile, here's an update for you guys.
i took my stock "bucket" and installed the H&R springs and KYB AGX shocks.... it took me all day and was a bitch. this car was a "northern" car, and the 12 year old suspension had welded itself together with rust - i couldn't get the rear control arms off the rear struts... that was a bitch, because obviously you need the control arms. i removed the control arms and struts together.... called the dealership, they only had ONE in stock and it was 306, i told them to "F" themselves with that price, and went to pick and pulls... found some off a coupe, paid 50 bucks for the pair (they did the labor of removing them), then went to a friends house, used his grinder to cut the stock springs (this way i didn't have to use a spring compressor), then kept the caps of the old struts (really the only things i needed), then finally re-assembled everything. we also took the brush on the grinder to the control arms off the junkyard civic to re-fresh them.... now they look brand new. when all was said and done, it took me over 8 hours because of the complications with the lower control arms. pain in the ass.
the brakes were non-existent when i finished putting everything together... but a quick pedal-stiffining eeked out any air gaps that might have somehow gotten in the lines... now everything is kosher.
i also put the half red/half clear euro tail lights on... not the crappy altezzas... i mean the straight red/clear. look real classy. also threw on some SI wheels (2000 era). the car looks great, i'll take a pic and post it sometime.
next week we are going to start building up the d15b motor we got, adding the fancy injectors and all that jazz.... then install the turbo & IC, then put it in the car, then install the exhaust. then it will probably take 3 weeks to tune the thing... after that its off to the body shop to get my coupe front bumper installed, coupe front fenders installed, my TYC coupe projector headlights, new rear bumper and a complete vehicle re-spray in the 2004 polar white. i forgot to add i got the JDM sedan front valence, rear valence, and side skirts, that will all be sprayed and installed....
might take 3-4 more weeks to complete everything, but it will just come down to time. its a lot of time and money to put into a '93, but hey, i have a soft spot for this body style. besides, to go from a mini to a civic, you know the civic would have to be nice!

that sounds good, the only problem (and this is something i've been meaning to mention to you) is that if you go with a carbon fiber trunk lid, most likely you'll have to give up the factory wing. urethane wings are way too heavy for carbon trunks.

and now for absolutely no reason, here's a random quote about pandas (kudos to whoever gets the source right!):
"I've got a question for Mr. Panda Bear here. If you panda bears live in mountainous areas of China and Tibet, how come you eat bamboo, which grows in drier, more arid regions?"
