update on the wing!
after much time spent looking at the M3 wings on eBay (which still look pretty damn good to me), and thinking about some of the old body kits i've seen over the years (don't ask me why, even i don't know), i've suddenly been inspired to try one last thing which just might do the trick. won't say anything yet, because i'm not entirely sure i'm ready to do this, but who knows?
you guys will just LOVE this one if it works though...

my apologies to commador, but....
the wing is back on, and has a death grip on my trunk lid!
in case anyone's wondering how i managed to get it re attached, just do a search in eBay for "civic M3 wing", and look at any picture that shows the underside of one of those wings.
yup, that's right....double-sided tape!
well not just any double-sided tape, i used the super strength 3M moulding tape, and it is still anchored by two bolts, so it should hold up pretty well. i was worried about the weight at first, but i remembered that some of the Wings West front lip kits are held on entirely by that same tape, and those are just as heavy as my wing. hopefully my little theory won't be proven wrong!

lol! i'm actually thinking about getting a new digital camera this month or next month since mine just will not work anymore, and i think it's about time to upgrade to one with more resolution anyways (1.3 megapixels just don't cut it anymore). there's some pretty cheap ones that are decent quality at work, so i think i'll just watch the sales ads and see what i can come up with.
besides, that part i got on eBay hasn't arrived yet, so no pictures for you!

the pictures below show exactly what the wing looks like, though my back end doesn't look like that anymore. the wing is a Wings West replica of the JDM EG9 Ferio SiR wing:
the wing is painted flat black in these pictures, but it is now painted metallic black, along with the trunk lid. i've been thinking about switching the wing back to flat black just for some contrast (as well as to match a few other parts...), but i haven't made a final decision yet.

i actually don't recall ever seeing Altezza tails for the EF sedan, is it true that the hatch/CRX tails are different? i know that the front corners are different, so that wouldn't surprise me too much.
btw, might want to get your flame suit on. altezzas are not very well liked around here.

ok i found the reason domestic people make fun of civics and honda's in general.
here he is. big ass wing, altezza lights, and you can't tell by the pic very well but 3 tone paint. he has green racing lightning stripes on the sides of the car. everything else is primer black except the very last stripe on the sides, its silver and leads to a silver bumper.
just thought i'd share my morning laugh with you guys. but i'm gonna go around campus next week and take pics of the ugliest honda/acura cars i can find. there will be plenty, see yall next week. :byye

big score today at the junk yard.
picked up a set of rear knuckle assemblies from a DA integra, along with the BMC. forgot to pick up the proportioning valve though, i'll have to get that another day because i spent way too much money today! hopefully this knuckle assembly will fit! if it doesn't, th | |
