I was going to do that because I thought I would have it all done within 2 months. But since Im moving my orders around, the two big interior items wont happen for at least 4 or 5 months. So I figured even subtle hints would be to drawn out to wait for nearly half a year.
But its all good. The only things I dont have now are the seats and carpet. The rest is there, so if you knew or not about those items it wouldnt change any. Actually, you still might be surprised about the seats......

Exactly. Its where you spend most of your time in your car. I cant understand the people that strip the interior in daily drivers. All the vibrations and road noise. Im trying to get rid of those things and make it "plush". Im backing the door panels with 1/4 batting. This will knock down road noise, rattles in the door, and help insulate the car. Obviously it will never be as nice as a more expensive car, but it will be much better (asthetically, and comfort) than before.

all right kids, last photo shoot for the year. as promised, shots of the new arm rest, and the rest of the interior:
old USDM arm rest:
new JDM long arm rest:
side by side, notice that the JDM one is almost twice as long, but much skinnier :
freshly installed. also pictured are the california dust mop which i really need to throw away because it's damn dirty, misc tools, a sun shade, and an unidentified pant leg :
and of course, the audio console. since there's probably gonna be at least one person wondering, the bottom pocket is the one that comes with the console. the top one is out of a Scosche stereo dash install kit (#UI2225, for '88 and up imports) which i jury rigged to fit (required a few zip ties, but nothing special):
also pictured above is the new shift knob, my Ractive chrome pedals, and the switch for my neons. not pictured in any of the above are the chrome Ractive e-brake handle, and the floor bar.
the arm rest was pretty simple to install, but i recommend that anyone who buys one take a good long look at the brackets before attempting the install. it's not as straight forward as it seems.
the audio console, god that thing was a pain in the ass. pretty easy too, but a pain in the ass!
and that's all for now. future plans for the interior so far are just to get rid of the neon tube that's underneath the rear seats, and replace it with LEDs under the seats. might try to wedge in some other LEDs elsewhere, but i haven't decided where yet. also planning on getting the windows tinted 35%, but that may not happen for a while.
oh and i really need to get a new deck, cause i hate this one now. don't ever buy Panasonic people!

yeah it's definitely worth the money. as long as you don't mind spending $150 on an arm rest.
one thing i want to bitch about is that i had to move the floor bar to its farthest setting to get the long arm rest to fit. well to do that i had to detach the seatbelts from the chassis. well now the damn passenger side one won't go back in! i'm glad i did get the driver's side one in, but *^%((!!!!!!!!!
and somehow i got cut too, and i bled all over the damn carpet (i think you can see some of it in the pics). man was that a pain in the ass.
oh, and add EG9 front and rear seats to my list of interior mods "to do".

Hey Commador, did you do all the upholstery yourself.
BTW Everything is sounding good, I think it's time to change all my trim pieces from red to a gunmetal.

yup yup. Easy, get the parts out, remove the grey cloth, spray 3M super 77 adhesive on, then start in the middle and press your way to the edges. Looks perfect.

you didn't? i've posted many times about how i want to keep this car auto because i like the convenience of an auto sometimes. i'm saving up for a second car though, and that one will definitely be a stick.
