Yeah my dads been looking at those he really wants one for some odd reason. Theres no way he could ride it because he's too big but he just thinks their so cool. The only thing liek that that i've actually ridden is my friends yamaha ysr(50cc). Heres a picture of one.(thats not my friend, lol)

That bikes cool as hell too. Although these bikes are really cool i would never think of wasting 2g's on them.

i think for the most part it goes hand in hand with getting an ATV or a mini-dirt bike for the race track.
just something to get you around.
i know when i go to the track to watch the 1/4 runs i get sick of walking back and forth from the stands to the pits, to my car, etc. etc, etc
that's why a lot of people who race every weekend get an ATV, or scooter. i think those 49cc Sport Bike style ones kick MAJOR ass. they're expensive though. $2k. around there

*edit* nevermind, i was misinformed. i just found this one for like $600

i used to have a ysr50 but sold it to my bro for $600. those things are fun. top speed i got out of it was 80. i'm surprised to see they keep their value really well. i saw two used ones at a motorcycle dealer selling well over $1000.

AP559! You're in cailf. right? If so, check the adds for Kragen Auto Parts. I think they're selling the battery powered ones for something like $199.00.

Cheap gas generic ones can be had on e-bay for 300-400 bux, friends that I ride with have em. The things fall apart, they dis assembled the whole scoot and re assemble with lock tite and they are holding up a bit better. For the 900-1200 range you can get the real deal polini and I forget the other manufacture, but those have mucho aftermarket and replacement parts ready to be had.
I have a 83 yammi rx50 for a pit/street scooter, ysr motor in a mini virago package, 4 spd tranny. top end on it is 50 and some change.
