hello guys, i have a 94 Coupe, with Tein suspension. which is the best offset for my car with 16'' wheel (16x7 205/45/16), Slipstream come 40, 45 and 48 offset. i donīt want any problem with the fender because my car is lowered. Right Now i have the stock wheel, because the wheel is small (185) all the rubber is inside the fender.
45 is bad for your wheel bearings anyway. 40 is correct.
how is that?
i had the 40mm offset 16x7 slipstreams with 25/45-16's on my 93 coupe. lowered with h&r race springs and koni yellows. no rubbing.

An excessive amount of incorrect offset is bad for your wheel bearings. Look it up. The closer it is to factory spec the better. It's not just a visual thing.

but you forgot that in this case the rims is WIDER than a stock rim so you cant have the same offset as a stock rim. well you can but the tire will be rubbing.

you got it backwards. actually 40 is worse than 45. the lower the number the more it sticks out.

I understand. but i want to be sure, because i donīt want to roll the fender, for that reason it is that I insist by 45mm offset. you have pictures of your car?

I just looked it up. Damn it, I hate being wrong.
Stock wheel dimensions for most Civic/Integra models would call for a 40mm offset. Increase the width and the recommended offset changes. I read a whole paragraph on how & why, which I will not get into here as it will head off topic.
