they're ricey, the quality on them is shit. stock parts are better, upgrading parts is what i did on my car. i have 99 tails and 99 front end upgrade. i love it. perfect fitiment on the lights. if you were to upgrade your front end and your tail lights, youd love your car all over again.

you can sometimes find exedy packages on there for $150, sometimes with flywheel. thats a deal IMO.
My question.
which spoiler? i dont know where to find either, ive just seen pics.

also, where can i find this spoiler? would an integra version work? i cant find one for civic. im talking about the trunk spoiler, not the lame roof.
or
which spoiler looks better? my car is black 2door ek (ej).
Im also wanting to know, does anyone has any info on shaving the side moldings?

Cheap Ebay Cold air intakes
Should I get this $11 cold air intake kit? Is the filter the only component that must be quality (maybe replace filter with a K&N)? Are the pipes large enough? Any opinions are welcome about other cold air intake kits.

go for it, we all make our ghetto ebay purchases at one point or another, go back a few pages to see the tail lights i bought a year ago. id personally suggest a Vibrant intake or something like that though.
rule one with ebay shopping: when youre stating the price of something on ebay, state price including shipping. in your situation say "Its 33$ after shipping". that applies to all situations. im tired of people in real life telling me "OH i got this for 99cents on ebay" and i'm smart enough to ask "how much was shipping?" and the answers always something like "$40." my step dad does that crap acting like he found a deal, when in reality he found a seller thats just circumventing ebay sellers fees.

I hate that bloated shipping crap. If something is a couple dollars more TOTAL but has free shipping I will buy it over something that overall is less money but half the price is shipping? Why? Hmm...read fine print...any returns or refunds you might have to do is LESS SHIPPING COSTS! And then restocking fees. So if you pay $5 + $25 shipping for a piece of crap and demand your money back, you'll probably get a $4 refund and nothing you can do about it. Buy the same thing from someone else for $25 + $7 shipping you're paying more total, but buying some protection and also not contributing to unscrupulous Ebay practices. There was one jerk selling Rotas for $70 for a complete set of 4. Too bad when you scroll down to the bottom it was $200 shipping + another $200 REQUIRED shipping insurance! Thumbs down to those bozos.

Definately go with all new fabric. It will look 1000x better than painting the old. As for the vents- as long as you don't paint them yellow or some other nasty color then that is cool. I'm painting my stock silver vents a nice flat black to go with the rest of my car. Just sand them down, primer, and spay a few coats on them.
My question is: A friend of mine is going to college and is getting a new car. He believes he is getting a new civic dx, but I told him about how cool the fit/jazz is and he seems interested. Which should he buy? He is interested in performance, wants a manual, but is strapped for cash. My follow up question is: What are some things he can do to the new R-Series motor in the Civic? What about the Fit? I haven't seen much aftermarket support for either.

I think the Fit is really cool. I would definitely take it over a plain Civic DX, although at least all the bodies of the Civics are cool now unlike the 7th gen.
T1R has a turbo kit that is or will soon be available for the Fit, also the "new" Jackson Racing has 5psi supercharger kit available now for the Fit. Both are over $3000 price tag though. JR will also be selling a non-CARB legal 10psi charger kit eventually. If he really likes the Fit he should drive it a couple years just doing some suspension, wheels, exhaust til he starts getting out of the warranty period. That will give some time to pass for the prices to come down on the kits and/or some used ones to become available.

Thanks! I understand completely about the suspension mods > power mods idea. The hard part is convincing my friend that.
Hopefully he gets the Fit; I really like them and hopefully we can go test drive some so he can get a feel for what he wants. I don't want to pressure him into buying something he doesn't want.

wtf are you talking about. the 7th gen AFTER the facelift was awesome looking. the new one is kinda.... just idk. it looks like its trying to be futureistic for no reason. the rsx is now 100x sexier than the civic.
