A straight up DEFINITION of the word. Removal IS NOT the same a disabling. Disabling states that everything is there and can be used at a moments notice - It is simply SHUT OFF. Removal is not disabled - And YES - The VTEC CAN BE DISABLED AND NOT REMOVED. The TODA cams REQUIRE REMOVAL of almost ALL VTEC COMPONENTS to be used(cams and rockers). The only other parts that make up a Vtec system are the solenoids and the ECU. The only reason to leave the Vtec solenoids is so the oil doesn't pour out of the engine. Otherwise put on a block off plate.
Kind of hard to argue about anything little alone semantics when nothing you state is correct to begin with. Please READ what I have WRITTEN in the ORIGINAL POST - AGAIN.

hey i'm new to the forum but you really don't want to feel a kick when vtec engages you want a nice smooth transition to vtec so power is not lost. but then again people want everyone to know they got vtec..lol

did you not read where i said it was an argument of semantics. and in the case we were speaking disabling of a vtec system and removal of the system had the same end result did it not. you removed/disabled the system? learn to think outside the box and stop trying to prove me wrong and realize when you're trying to argue for the sake of nothing you tried to correct a member on a moot point where he was still basically correct

Mods: Well, IT'S STOCK EXCEPT FOR MY 5000hp shot of nitrous!
....
You CANNOT used disabled and removed like they are the SAME. THEY ARE NOT. You ARE WRONG. Admit it. Quit trying to make it sound as if I am wrong. Fact is that you are not giving CORRECT information that could mislead someone. We are here to help others out. Not feed them lines of garbage. Education is the key to success. We need to watch what information we give to people - They come to us for help - if we give them incorrect information - they could potentially harm themselves or others or thier automobiles because of what we say. This goes all the way down to the smallest things. I am not bashing you - just wishing you would learn some humility. Everyone can benefit from it once in a while. No one can know everything and we can all be mistaken.

are you serious?!?! look a context in which we are speaking, at the big picture. disabled and removed are the same thing i can't believe you are still arguing over nothing. it's called semantics. the vtec system was removed, disengaged, disabled. the end result is the same there is no difference. stop trying to bicker, i'm not wrong about anything. nothing i said was garbage at all. the toda cam lobes are just aggressive non-multiprofiled cams. when you install them on the motor and remove the vtec components, you have "disabled vtec on that motor" this is what we mean about "context" go look it up. the motor has had it's vtec ability, disabled, disengaged, removed, etc. to disable also means "to remove the ability to perform a certain actaion" use you can use the terms interchangeably depending on the "CONTEXT" so yes toda cams will "disable or remove" your vtec capabilities. You tried to correct somebody about nothing.
