I find it funny that he can generalize "vtec" lobes but using disable/remove correctly in the context it was given is wrong and he wants to argue about it. This is what we call a hypocrite, do you know what that is? should I spell it out for you with your "vtec" lobes?
VTEC is a system comprised of many parts to form a function. Removing any part of the system will disable the function.

I used the vtec statement as a size reference so that people can relate what a cam lobe with more lift and duration is with somthing they already know. If you talk of the VTEC cam lobe - they are typically referred to as the BIG CAM - or the BIG CAM LOBE. They are differnt sized from the LOW LIFT CAM or the SMALL CAM. YEAH, VTEC camlobes can vary in size - but not from high lift lobe to high lift lobe on the same cam. For simplicities sake I left the mid lobes out. Quit pulling on my leg here guys. This is SIMPLE STUFF.
If your too stupid to understand the reference to the army recruiter in defining the difference between DISABLED AND REMOVED then you need some HELP.
The second paragraph is a simplified explanation for the VTEC REFERENCE. Again if you can't GRASP IT then You NEED SOME MORE HELP.
How about explaining to me IN DETAIL how either of THOSE PARAGRAPHS ARE WRONG? USING a quote and a LINE BY LINE of your 'This is wrong' and 'why is that here' - and then WE WILL straighten you out.

i have a 99 civic 1.6 sohc vtec. when should i feel the vtec kick in and how much of a kick should it give?
you won't. there are no aggressive cam lobes to switch too. just valve timing adjustment. your motor is for gas mileage not performance. the kick people remark about is just a dip in hp/tq as you change cam profiles like in the dohc vtec motors. /thread
