I work for an auto company's distrubition center so I can get parts pretty dang cheap.(about 50-75% cheaper than retail) So when I go to work on Monday I will see how much ball joints are and probably just go ahead and replace them. I think that one of the studs is beyond repair anyways. Will the ball joint on the tie rod be listed as a lower ball joint also, or is it listed as something else?

it will be listed as outer tie rod.

the upper ball joint is going to be listed as the upper control arm.

the lower ball joint is going to be listed as lower ball joint.

do the lower ball joints now since they need to be either pressed out of the knuckle or shocked out with an air hammer and pressed back in.

Do I need to do both sides? The left side is all back together and everything went fine, so I was thinking of doing only the right side.

Will this tool from Autozone's loaner program work for pressing? Or do I have to have it professionally done?

That's good. So hopefully we have the parts in stock and I can get them installed tomorrow.

Is it OK to just do one side?

Should the outer ball joint be sold separately? On the napa online site I can only find it as the whole outer unit. I was also kind of confused because there are several different ones that it says are applicable for my vehicle. There is a regular one, one for power steering, and one for rack and pinion w/ power steering. I know that there is power steering. But is there rack and pinion?

I finally got the knuckle back on!! YES! Thanks for the help. There is another problem now.

I cannot get the brakes back on! It seems like they are clamped down too tight. They will not fit over the rotors. I tried bleeding some fluid out but it will not open up anymore. Help please! I want to be done with this!

well, take a large pair of channel locks and push the piston back in teh brake caliper a quarter inch or so.

everyone freaks out by doing it this way, but honda calipers have steel pistons unlike dodges ceramic cheap composit.
