So here lately whenever I start my car and I drive it, The engine ticks and gets faster pace as RPM's increase. BUT, I figured it would you know a piston ring or something is going bad or something along those lines. Then I got to thinking that I am way over due for a tune up. Could it just be that since the timing belt hasn't been changed it could just be that. And whenever I build the courage to do it myself and replace it, it should fix the problem?
Whats your mileage at? 100 000 should be your first adjustment. And it makes a world of difference. Just before i did mine the idle sounded like a diesel engine, now it purrs.
please. If you DON'T know. DON'T spread FALSE information. Someone is going to see this and think..."Gee, I don't have to inspect/adjust my valves until I reach 100,000 miles"
You're wrong.
For future reference bud... It's every 30k miles.
