turbo kit for 95 dx civic sohc 1.5

my friend that works with me has a 95 civic dx 1.5 non vtec motor and wants to turbo it, and we are wondering what would be a good kit for it i.e greddy, fmax, drag etc? has anyone else done this or do you know anyone that has? thanks for any help

greddy if you're going to leave stock internals and run low boost...also drag and FMAX turbo kits are very good as well

Nope it is only 6psi I think and I don't think it gives that big a HP gain either but it is smog legal.

It gives plenty of HP gain...... 10 HP for every 1PSI of boost(roughly). I have heard of people running 10 PSI on stock internals, but IMO no more than 8. The greddy kit is a great turbo for that car. It spools up really quickly, giving you boost through most of your power band. Not to mention $1500 to bolt right up in a good 6 hours of work, and you are running turbocharged The drag kit will cost you around $3000 and the Fmax is upwards towards $4000. I would recomend the greddy kit, thats what I am doing this summer!!

<---10 psi on stock d16z6, custom turbo kit <$500. On a d15 I would run no more than 8psi with colder plugs, and a complete fuel system, as long as you don't run lean you'll be fine.

Even though the compresson is a bit higher as long as you don't run lean I think it'll be fine at 8psi. But remember for under $800 you can get aftermarket rods and pistons for a dseries motor and run 12+psi...

I ran a custom turbo on my d15. I was only boosting 6psi but it sure woke the engine up...
After seeing the stock d15 rods i'm not sure i'd do it again if it was my only vehicle.....
I wouldn't push it past 8psi periodically and 6psi daily...
