I have a 98 lx and i was asking the guy at han-auto what they do for a 45k service. He said that they do a valve adjustment and put on a new gasket. is this really necessary or is he just bulshitin me?? I looked in the book and the only thing that it says about the valves is a valve clearence inspection at 30k. Thanks for any info on this.
The Civic manual says that the valve clearance should be checked at 30,000 miles......Then it doesnt need to be checked for a long time after that point.
That's what I thought too, but this place isn't a honda dealer, they just specialize in Honda/Acura mantinance.
