ah yes the I'm an Idiot and need a light to know when vtec is on light. you probably have a d series and must think the light is gonna help get a couple more hp, just like those stickers you probably have on your car too. if you want to know when vtec is on just look at the damn rpm gauge it kicks in at 4800 rpm

bwhahaha. why do you need to know when vtec is engaging outside of tuning processes on a dyno?

Actualy I'm going to be rigging up a test light for my VTEC later this summer to make sure it works correctly, and if not I'll get to fixing it. Not to mention I need to adjust the backlash on my I-4, and check the timing belt. I'm sure theres a slew of other things too but thats the higher priority's.
I'm pretty sure thats all he wants to do is make sure the car is performing as it should. You guys just hammered down on him kinda quickly. lol

CEL's will prevent VTEC from engaging, so will a faulty solenoid, but that wont throw any CEL's will it?
I'm interested it making sure mine works as well. If you know for sure that a CEL will come up if the VTEC system isn't functioning properly, no matter what the reason may be, then I would consider it useless to check it with a test light.

you can tell if vtec is engaging just by driving it. if it falls flat on it's face way before you're supposed to make peak power. there you go. or you could just get a vafc and get to tune it as well

what kind of car do you have? because in most hondas vtec isn't something you can "feel" pull much harder. you aren't supposed to feel it. why do you think gsr have the cool little IM

if you can't tell vtec is engaging with the radio off the windows down from a stop you're an idiot and don't need to be working on your own car. if you don't have any cells and its not falling on its face when it gets to 4800 its working fine. trust me I had to run mine with a p2e for about a month every time i got to 4800 it would fall on its ass faster than a whore running a 5 dollar special. do us all a favor, stop wasting our valuable air and stop breathing, with all the pollution we're running out.
since your a dumbass and probably don't what a p2e is. its a non-vtec ecu.
