hey man i know my vtec kicks in when my ass buckles to my seat at about 4-5000 rpm....just be smart and feel it without notice....its more enjoying....

i dont think my vtec is working correct. that's why i wanted to get the light but yea every one is so ready to jump my case thinking im trying to make my car faster im just curios to see how my car is preforming but for the people that wanted to help thanks... i joined this site thinking every one eather has a honda or acura and would want to help out but i guessed wrong so hate on people

you got hammered because years ago it was a rice thing to add a custom DIY vtec indicator light and mount it on your dash like a damn shift light, you just stirred up some ol-skool rice

so no one has actually posted a way to get a vtec light in this whole thread. all there has been is people being dicks. lol i just got an ex and was wondering if vtec was engaging properly too, i suppose im just going to tattoo vtec on my forehead now.

Hey man,

Maybe when you get that v-tak light working you can install the light for my kanooter valves and make sure the whipple valve is still functioning at 4800 rpms.

I don't want my mad v-tak fluctuating, ya know....

if you must know... its as simple as hooking up 2 wires to a LED one to ground, one to the vtec solenoid, as LED's are DIODES they ONLY FLOW ONE WAY you install it backwards, it will not light up, and no voltage will pass my guess is the guy who tried it and it didnt work installed the diode backwards

I have a v-tec light, but the guy before me installed it. Seems like it doesn't come on until like 5800rpm, but oh well, I only have a d16 anyways, lol.
