I would like you all to meet Dang. Dang has had some bad luck lately and had to sell his '03 Ford Ranger for some much needed cash. He dearly loved that truck. But on the up side he picked a '91 Honda Civic w/142500 miles for only 2600 bucks.
Dang's a tad bashfull but he says "Hi" to everyone"
He also wants you to all know that he has turned a screwdriver or two in his day, and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty either. He proud of the fact that he kept his '86 Cavalier going for over 190000 miles. "If I can do that with a GM, just think what I can do with a Honda!" he brags to himself.
Anyway, Dang is really looking forward to learning a thing or two from some of you "Honda Freaks".
As for me, well this is good-bye I'm afraid. I'm just a good friend of Dangs.
(Don't tell anyone, but his shrink says he may have "split personality" symdrome.)
Once again folks! Here's Dang!
Thanks JDM. The Civic, she's a clean machine. Her carfax says that she had only one owner. And her paint tells a story that she slept in a garage. Really nice for as old as she is. Just a few parking lot scars on her it looks like. Inside its real clean also. The 1500 cu motor looks clean, but they all do just off the lot don't they?
Her timing may be off just a little. She seems to be a little sluggish on the "get up and go". But once shes rolling she cruises very nice. After she gets use to me I'll dink around with it to see if that helps. I had to "retard" my daughter's toyota in order to make it pass smog. The way it would run after that reminds me of the Civic runs now.
I'm not sure what kind of mods I can get away with here in Calf. But thats what the forum is for, right?
I'll tell you one thing for sure, those stock wheels have got to go. :eek
