Im my mind the B18 is overrated. I have many reasons. The only dual cam i would want is a b16, but the d16 can have just as much power, but with more tq. Thats my tech answer. But yeah its great when people get pissed cuz they lost to a D.

I really like the reving capabilities of my d,6800 to 7200 redline is a joke my car dont "come alive" till 5500 rpm and at 72/7300 rpm when the rev limiter grabs it is just starting to get busy
it's all good future upgrades are a valve terrain that can handle 9000 to 10000 rpm and a reprogramed ecu with a 9200 rev limiter and of course a turbo
really I just get tired of hearing "just swap your engine" when I ask for advice about mine
anybody have any stories about beating DOHC higher displacement engines with your single D and what kinda reactions did you get from the people you beat

I like my engine and I can reach my goals with it. I'm also not willing to invest the amount of money required to do a built b-series... Its just not important enough to me.
I only like the d in turbo form. That was the route I was going to take, but I wanted simplicity and reliability over net power. Even though a tuned turbo d is just as reliable, I chose the b18c because I think its a better platform for the future. Last time I didnt think long term, and now I am making up for my mistakes.
