I have a year 2000 integra gsr with plans to swap in a b18 type r motor in the near future. I'm pretty sure it will be a direct bolt on. However I am confused on which motor kit to buy at hmotorsonline.com.
One is complete changeover and one isn't.
the complete changeover comes with these extra parts.
- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shift Linkage
- Stock Motor Mounts
My question is as follows do I need the complete changeover? Or just the regular kit?
Huuuuuuuuuuge waste of money IMO. With the money being spent on the B18C5, you could make the B18C1 pretty damn quick. Waste. Unless your car was wrecked and the engine was trash.
Cousin bought teg from ebay for 7G with shot motor.
...previous owner stated water damage so when you run it theres a horrible knocking noise. So I'm going to pull that and the tranny out and ebay it. So sad only 50k miles on them ...looked so clean too
yup so I need a new engine
"complete changover would be better IMO"
better = ?
needed or just convenience when installing?
- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shift Linkage
- Stock Motor Mounts
Well, it depends? Are you going to build the motor once you put it in? I would get the HASport mounts since they are solid and if you build the motor later down the road, you won't have to buy them. I would assume the other linkages are the same, but if you buy the entire kit, you can sell the other stuff with B18C motor.
Well for now just street racing I mean we don't go to those organized ones.
Well my car came with a free membership to SCCA so eventually I'm going to do that and so will my cousin. I've been up to Summit Point and it was pretty cool. Saw a bunch of ITR's, honda challenge, legends , it was great.
I myself with a wrx want to eventually do rally some autocross . Almost got a job at NTB so i would be able to get discount tires n use their lifts! but ....U gotta do drug test I feel stupid
