I have your same setup. 17" Konig Holes riding on 205/40/H Yoko Avid Hs.
I used to complain about the car going wherever the road took it, but I got used to it pretty quickly, and now I love the huge footprint it makes. I'd only rather 16s so when I lower the car, it looks more proportionate.
Pretty much any sticky tire will dig into discontinuities in the road surface and pull that way.

The low profile of the tire is the main culprit here. Low profile = stiff sidewall = tramlines and follows ruts a lot. Kind of a fact of life with that size. If it kills you, you'll have to switch to 16"s or 15"s with a higher profile tire.

cont...
so there is nothing possible ... i dont realy mind vibration and road feeling but is quite difficult to drive in very short streets with cars parked on both sides with moving steering wheel left or right and continous pressure on steering wheel , couse one day i will be to slow to react and hit someone....
one hypothetic idea , changing only tires in to something less sporty like ....
michelin 205 or 215/45/17 ... they are little softer than yokohama ive got now...
what u think ...

I'd say just get use to it. In a month or so you won't even notice the car behaives differently. It's new so it seems totally different, but will become normal to you with time.

i had 17" rims on my teg before and was using kumho supra ecsta 205/40/17 tires. traction was horrible in the rain. because you're using a low profile tire you're not going to get an enjoyable ride. small pot holes seem like ditches and bumps feel like u hit a mountain. cornering was amazing though. that was also due to my suspension set-up. if u don't go with the smaller rim and decide to stick with the 17's remember to get a camber kit. it'll save you a lot of money on tires. when i didnt have a camber kit on my teg i went through tires about every 6 months.

It also depends on your alignment and if they know what they are doing. Aligning a lowered car is different from a standard height car. 17's shouldn't give you any ride problems unless your alignment is way out

you make it sound like the car has a mind of its own. get an alignment. if that doesn't work, get smaller wheels. otherwise, live with it and get used to it 'cause that's part of life when you drive on sport tires. it grabs everything.

Werd. I have the same size tires but they are Neo Gen's. I had the same problem too, but after I did my alignment, it was like butta!

agreed
i bought my teggy with 17s it had kuhmo 205-40, thought if a got a bigger tire it would help, it helped a little. Low profile tire low quality ride, get you car aligned and it should be more controlable. Another thing when you dump your the steering gets more "sensitive" meaning cotrol is better but if ur misaligned ur also gonna feel it steer to the side more. I recently bought a camber kit from progress suspension anyone with a review or comments about this let me know cause i still havent installed it

It rides fine because you are riding on wheels forged by the hands of God and polished with the tears of angels. I love those wheels. I'll have to suffice with the poor man's version.
