50 shot? or 75 shot? on stock GSR
I have a 93 civic witha a 94 gsr motor in it. I am about to add a nitrous kit to it i got it for 200 bucks used. comes with everything but bottle warmer and purge kit but i intend on buying these items b4 install. It's a dry kit. Does anyone know where i can find installation instructions or does anyone have a write up on it. I will be going turbo buy the end of the year and i will run the nitrous to the intercooler (Ntercooler). I have 2+ spark plugs and i will be get a better spark plugs soon. I don't want to push my motor to the edge, but i would like nice power from the nitrous. My motor is coming in this week and i was going to install everything at once. Could someone recommend anyhting or offer me advise on what i should adjust? i don't really want a 75 shot but all i have is a 50 shot or i can change the nozzle or something and get a 75 shot what controls the amount that goes in and is there a 60 shot maybe. I have a act flywheel im putting on also. I was going to get the clutch b4 i get turbo. Any help is good help thanx

my buddy had a itr with a 50 shot he had promblems hooking the car .but 50 shot is safe with the use of 93 octaine gas 75 is to much thats what he has told me in the past.he uses nitrious in all his race cars so i trust his judgement.i would suggest some skunk2 springs wich is wut im going with when i add my 50 shot.if your going to do internals then you can do a 75 shot.

Nitrous jets control the amount of nitrous flow... I dont understand what you meant by the plugs though, but you will need some plugs that burn 2 steps colder, not hotter!!! Also remember to retard your timing -2 degrees.. I would suggest that you read up on nitrous and in the nitrous forum before you start spraying due to your knowledge on the stuff!!!

I read that lol. I know the plugs have to be colder thats what i meant by +2. And where is the jet located is it b4 the nozzle or somewhere off the tank? ABout the 50 shot on the type R my brother has a CRX w/GSR with Integra type r pistons and the owner of the shop along with everyone else said you should not run type r pistons with NOS. He wanted to do that b/c he had not room really for turbo or supercharger without some modifications. They told him if hes gonna run nitrous then he needs to get a diff set of pistons. Maybe the compression is to high for nitrous. But if your friend is running with no problems then I don't know. I know a good bit I belive I said everything you have told me about retarding the timing -2 or 3 degrees, Getting colder spark plugs and bigger spark plug wires. So are you suggesting that i stick with a 50 shot?
Is there a place i can purchase a jet that will alow a 60 shot or is there some kind of modual control i can get that i can regulate the amount digitaly?

stick with the 50 shot but if you have promblems hooking upgrade the suspension.my buddies itr ran a 50 shot with no promblems to the engine.my other buddy melted his pistons due to the wrong octaine gas and stock spark plugs.

nitrous is a no no, 93 octane is not enough, any nitrous manufactuer will tell you to up the octane before you use it plus it will damage your engine over time especially your piston rings, think about the way the engine is designed, sure an engine can take it but shooting the crap can lead to major problems what if the mixture is to lean, what if your rods arent up to it, its not a smart choice in my eyes to go faster, besides if you gotta spray to beat me well thats pathetic. :noo

I guess that you replied trying to end being a noob... ... You need to follow the link left by Acuradriva as well...

Cheap Nitrous System? Explain yourself... Dont Cry Bitch Boy ...You want a cookie for being all motor? ..We all have been all motor, until we got some money to mod... :noo Dumbass!!! Just because people use nitrous does not mean that they are cheating or nothing, that can be just like saying, well you got your motor bored over, you had to do that to be faster than me... Supercharging, Turbocharging, its all about what you want to do.... So stop all that , and stop whining , and if you need help, pop a dick in your mouth and to me bitch!!!
