i have a 91 integra ls and just recently it won't rev above 3200rpm. it is kinda weird, it was driving normal then one day i was driving and was doing a quick left turn and felt this weird bump and then my car died on me when i got to the next stop light. then i start it up and knowtice it won't reve about 3.2k rpm. i've tried to rev it higher and it feel like at that rpm it is redlining. i tried to push it harder but when i do the engine makes this weird nose like there is something stuck in the belt or something. and also when i am at idle it feels like something is hitting my car, every here and there, (not consisten) and every time i feel that bump my rpm drop by about 500rmp.
here is a list of what i've done to it.
swap a spark plug/wires from a 2000 civic si, the sparkplug are denso and and wires are ngk (did this a month before problem arise)
i think that is all the things i've done with the car recently, i also change all motor mounts about 5months ago.
so far i've been told that it could be my throttle body is bad, bad fuel filter/line, spark plugs/wires.
kinda funny it is happening to my friends car also and he has the same car as me, but a 2dr stick version

I would start with pulling the codes. Sounds like your in limp mode aka safe mode. The code that the ECU is giving you would lead you in the direction of fixing your car.
Mods: All stock, for now. Hooked up the stereo though.

Yep, thats right.
Your ecu should have a little light on it. When the car is running, it should flash. Long flash = 10, short flash = 1.
So if you threw "Long long short short," thats a code 22. I think there is a sticky in the ECU electrical forum that will tell you what each code means for obd0 motors. If not, do a google search.

With obd0, does he still have to jump the connection underneath the glovebox in order for the CEL to start throwing codes, if he doesn't want to look at the ECU itself?

Im not sure what youre asking. In my buddys CRX, as soon as a CEL comes on, we pull back the carpet and watch the ECU. Count the blinks. The ecu can only store 3 codes, so if youve got more than that, it one show them (and you probable have something seriously fucked up under the hood to have 4 codes, lol).

Oh, I've just never heard of the actual ECU showing the codes. I only knew of jumping that switch under the glove box with a paper clip (the name of the switch escapes me right now), and then you turn the car to accessory and the CEL will do the short/long blinking for all of your codes.

I do believe thats only on OBD1 honda's.. Btw, my civic did this along time ago.. Turns out it was the Distributor.. I would check there first.. Bad coil or module..

Correct.
My 1989 Prelude had the light on the ECU (OBD-0). It was super easy to just look at the ECU and write down the flashes. It's actually easier than the ODB-1, since it just constantly flashes the codes for you. No jumper needed.
