92 gs-r idling problems

ok well i haven't really done alot of research because i have no idea where to begin. . . . anyways i got the car knowing there was problems with it 120k i bought it as it didn't run because of the intake manifold was off. . . so low and behold i got it to run. . . . but it will idle from 1250 to 1500 and "diesel" back and forth all the time and if i plug the sensor in behind the manifold with collant running thru it revs to 4k and then stumbles and does it again. . . well after asking a couple ppl what they knew was wrong with it before i got the car they heard it went thru the rain storm and sucked up alot of water . . . and told me i got fuc ked until i told them it's running just not good. . . .

so when i give it alot of gas it runs fine but when i let off it jerks. . . .sometimes it wants to die like it's getting flooded or no air idk. . . and it will just kill over sometime and it's getting good spark. . . .

and as for parts i have many i could use from b-series engine so if anyone knows anything about this could someone please tell me

Do a compression check, check plugs, wires, etc. Do the regular manitenance on it. Check your throttle if its sticking. Thats a start.

checked it all everything is fine it's just when it idles i've heard of something in the intake manifold on the b series messing up and then something about a sporadic idle and such. . . . . anyways i'm just guessing it's a sensor

Under the throttle body, there is a fast idle valve. It's covered by a little bronze plate held in by 2 phillips screws. Take it off and then get get a flathead screwdriver. You should see a white disc with a groove in it. se the flathead to screw that down. If that valve moved it's way up, moving it down should fix everything.
