94-97 to 98-01 headlight conversion? what do you think?

I was recently thinking about getting a body kit but all of the complaints about them not fitting right just makes me not want to get one at all.

I have decided to do a headlight conversion to a more recent headlight(I hate the 94-97 headlights)

My question is Has anyone done this or know how much it will cost I'm thinking around 600.

Things I need:
1)headlights 98-01
2)front bumper 98-01
Is this all?

What are your thoughts?

pic: so fresh and so clean!

Well, i didnt notice much difference between the older and newer style headlights, maybe its cause i dont own a Teg, but i personally would do the JDM ITR headlight conversion, complete with bumper, fenders and hood. Thats what i'm goin to do for my accord, which i think will be easier to do on an accord, since the headlights are about the same length/width/height.

the rear bumper is also different. howerver, if you are getting a body kit, then all you need is the headlights because the front bumper will be replaced by your kit right? unless you are only getting a lip then thats a different story.

i've been looking into this recently. you need 98-01 headlights, front bumper, and front bumper lenses. i haven't found out if the wire harnesses for the bulb match up, but i'm guessing they do. let me know how it goes... and check out

I did the conversion not to long ago. All you have to change is the bumper, headlights, bumper lenses, and the bracket that holds the lenses (Acura dealer charges like $35 for the pair).. and if you really want to make it look like a 98-01 (change the mirrors and rear bumper)..

But if I could do it again, I would just save that money for a JDM conversion..Good Luck

My personal opinion is to just leave it as it and work with what you got. There are plenty of kits for your model year. For example checkmy sig I made good use with my integra...haha

You could use that money for other things such as performance mods, or just plain save it up for the JDM look. I wouldn't waste my money on making my car LOOK newer other then the 98+ tail lights.

Good luck,
Jason

i think it makes a big difference.. i got a 96 sedan and a 2000 front end.. still looking for the rear bumper.. i like the clean oem look though so maybe that's why it appeals to me.. a 98+ body style with painted skirts and a usdm type-r lip > dope to me
