My 96 ls just isnt cuting it anymore, so I want everyones opion about what I should do. I want to keep the car, but with 14x,xxx miles on the engine I dont know what to do....
Mods: Bone Stock at the moment. But something's cooking!
it's so easy, why not go LS/VTEC? is easy enough and you already have the platform which you can use. Just get a VTEC head from a B16 o B18 and go from there, no adays it's quite easy to put one together, and there is enough infomration to be able to do it right the first time, and build it somewhat reliable.

sorry, but it's not easy.
we know nothing about your car. what the hell is on it?
the absolute easiest thing you can do for your LS is to invest in some aggressive cams (consider redoing your valves and valve springs if you get these), put 'em in, go to a shop that knows what they're doing, throw it on a dyno and have them tune it. i just pray your bolt ons are all functioning as they should (if you have 'em, that is).
of course your LS is gonna need some fuel management with the new cams, so, in seeing that you're asking this question in the first place, i'll recommend the Apexi SAFC for you. if your car is OBDI, throw on a hondata unit instead of the SAFC.
you should probably have your motor inspected before all this too.
Mods: B20vtec, Blox type A's cams,Blox itake manifold, Omni vavle springs and retainers,2.5 Exhaust,DC 4-2-1 header, and a GSR tranny
hey man just buy some itr pistons have them installed or install them yourself .. most people don't go around racing their car everyday so going lsvtec is no problem ive been driving on my b20vtec with stock bottom since 2004 and i have had no problems ..i have Blox type A's and a Blox intake manifold ..but you can get some b16 head a golden eagle conversion kit since thats what i have. I would bump the compression like i said with some itr pistons on a LSvtec or just a normal b18B since the added compression should make the car seem a little diffrent.. other than that i like my 95 integra it can carry a lot and i get 31 MPG ..i also have a 2003 S2000 and the most i can squeeze out of that is 27-28 MPG and it cant carry nothing but a pretty girl and me to the club... Just enjoy your car I Love my teg also so i would never get rid of it.
If you do decide to bump compression as previously stated, I would suggest P30 B16A pistons rather than ITR pistons. They will still yield 11:1 compression, but unlike the ITR pistons, you will be able to a direct piston swap. With the ITR pistons, your LS rods will need to be milled 1mm each side on the small end to fit the ITR pistons.
