'98 LS or GS?

I got my teg last december and I want to know the difference between the LS and the GS. My car came with black leather interior and the Acura "A" stitched into the front seats. Does this mean my car is a GS? How can I tell the difference?

Yep yours is a GS. The difference? Leather. Other differences? Standard rear spoiler (most LS's have them anyway though) and 15" wheels (LS's that year had alloy 14"s, before that year LS's had steel 14"s, after '98 they had alloy 15"s. GS/SE had alloy 15"s every year). I think the GS sedan may also have a touch of wood trim? I forget.

Hey Derek, What's up? I was looking at the CarFax I had printed when I bought the car and it says "1998 Acura Integra LS". Could the CarFax be wrong or could the previous owner have swapped out the cloth interior and put in all leather? Even the door panels have leather. As far as the wheels go, the car had 14" American Racing wheels on there so I don't think those came as an option from the factory. I hate my wheels. The only thing I like about them is that they are 14" and that means they are lighter than the 15" version that they guy could have bought.

Hmmm. Since the LS came with 14" and the SE 15" in that year, it seems like if he has aftermarket 14"s on it then it would be an LS, but can't say for sure. One way to check is the serial number, do a search on decoding serial numbers and you should find it. Interesting....

It's an LS. I did a search on the vin numbers and the "5" in my VIN number means it's an LS. If it was a 6 then it would be a GS.
Thanks for the Help.

Just look at the sticker on the side panel of your driver side. It should say RS, LS, GS, etc...
