okie i'm trying to install neon lights under my dash near the foot area.. i want it to light up everytime i open the door so i decided to hook it up to the dome light. well when i tried to hook it up to the green/darkgreen wire the neon would only light up if i close the door. well i don't want that. so i went to cut the other wire(the light pink and red) and right when i cut it(with the door opeN) there was a spark.. i cut the wire near the under the door foot panel.. anyways.. so i didn't think anything about the spark and proceed to hooking up the neon.. well it didn't work. and when i reconnect it back the way it was.. it didn't work either.. and now my dome light isn't work.. so i was wondering if that spark messed up a fuse? if so which fuse would that be? or is there a way to fix the dome light and connect it another way so i can have the neon light up everytime i up the door? thanks

similiar problem
tonite i put together the entire hoodliner as well as the parts that go with it, and when i got to the dome light and reading light i screwed them on, but they don't work, did i blow a fuse??
you obviously know nothing of how to do this! You need to wire a relay into your neon circuit and then use any of the pin switch circuit wires to control the relay. The relay should have its own dedicated fuse.
To make this easy just go visit any stereo store that installs alarms and they can help you.
i am connecting the neon to a push on and off button with it's on fuse. the problem isn't the neon but the window and dome light. i reconnect everything as it should but it's not working. so i'm thinking it's the fuse.. also i am going to a shop tomorrow. i'm just trying to figure out what's wrong.
i tried looking for the fuse diagram but which panel? the plastic one right under the steering wheel right? is it itched into the panel?

there should be a clear plastic one.

by the way, the fuse was located under the hood of the engine, it will be housed in a spot that says, "Interior Lights" its a 7.5 amp fuse and you can usually find a replacement in the extra fuses under the dash inside the car, just make sure that the battery is disconnected.
