i guess as long as the motor has been using Mobile 1 synthetic exclusivly switching to amsoil wouldn't be a problem, but if it was using regular non-syn oil that would be a bad idea...in anycase stick with the recomended weight 5w30 or if ur feeling a little lucky in the warmer months 10w30 or 10w40

I stick with 5w30 throughout all the seasons btw, to me 10w30 or 10w40 doesn't make a difference at all...40 would be better because it maintains viscosity at higher temps, but I ain't racing a 24hr enduro. Plus at 10w would really suck on cold starts...its thicker and takes longer to get to temps which might mean oil starvation for a longer period of time that the motor was originally designed for = wear

10w30 is reccommended for higher mileage engines and 5w30 is reccommended for newer engines. Actually, Honda is now recommending 5w20 for all their cars. Lower viscosity oil will improve gas mileage by a hair, but decrease high-RPM protection by a hair. But really, any of the said oils would be safe in your car. If you're worried about oil, then get a magnetic drain plug. They really work when it comes to keeping metal flakes out of your engine. You should also use a good filter, like Mobil 1 or the stock S2000 filter.
