I want to know if there is a real difference brands of hi-flow cats. I have a cat-back system now and i want to get the cat and the header. My cat-back and muffler are 2.25 so im thinking 2.25 cat w/ 2.25 header?(i havnt seen any of these. Do they make them.. and where to find them)
What brands of cat should i get to see the best results and an answer to the header question would be great.

and if they dont make 2.25 headers would it be better to do the 2.5 header and a 2.5 cat to the 2.25 cat-back?
If im saying anything stupid, please fill me in. Im a newb trying to learn this stuff.
unless the system is built from the header back(what i mean is if you buy a system that is specificly all made from the same company and tested together, you want to keep an exhaust system the same diameter all the way through.
If you have a header that has a 2.5" collector make sure the high flow cat and the exhaust are 2.5" as well.
Carsound makes a great hi-flow cat.
2.5" is the biggest any street driven N/A 4-banger will need, even heavily modded(i.e. Bolt-ons, cams, bigger Intake mani bigger injectors and tuned to the hilt) will only need a 2.5" exhaust. Any bigger and you will start losing power, due to loss of flow velocity.
If you do not plan ever on getting past basic bolt-ons, then 2.25" is fine and you should probably stick to that, if you think you might get into some bigger mods later on, then go 2.5" so you do not have to re-do the exhuast system.
yeah, i understand that now. I already have 2.25 cat-back. and i can get a 2.25 carsound cat. can i get a header with a 2.25 collector? so i have 2.25 all the way back?

carsound, focuz, and power core are the 3 brands i know of. i got a few buddies who have the focuz on their da tegs and they felt more power off of that alone than the i/h/e combined
for the carsound cats, any specific models and whats the diff between no air, single air, single o2 boss, double o2 boss.. Which do i want and why? there are also a bunch of different models, which is the optimal one?

yeah because once they got the cat it let the exhaust breathe to its full potential
