My boy just got 1 it's on a B18c1 in a 95 gsr, He says you can sorta feel the difference once VTEC kicks in....
All I have to say is it sure sounds like its doing something

BIG RESPECT TO ALL THE DA"S HOLDIN IT DOWN
PROPS TO ALL NA DA's 2
why spend so much money for 2 or 3 extra hp when that won't make a single difference.
as far as I'm concerned it's just a noise maker, it's a super loud intake but let's face if your heads ain't done and tuned you really aren't going to fell anything. I just think my boy is amped because he got something new and he's whooping my ass right now, and that intake makes it seem to him like his going mach1 lololololololololol ( DA with LS and intake thats it)
As you can see the normal AEM CAI are sold for $256.29 and the AEM V2 are sold for $295.00. Meaning it's only a $38.71 difference. Which for the how good the sound and the extra hp and torque it gives I went ahead and bought that one. $38 isn't that much more.
1-2 HP doesn't do that much performance wise ( you can't even feel the difference) if you put 2 identical cars and put a regular AEM intake on one and a V2 on the other and thats the only mod, on the track the et's are going to be the same, 40 buck for 1-2 horses I'd rather save that money and put it towards somrthing more potent!

Thats what I was hoping you come to the conclusion of. Plus the gains, if any, won;t be in the same place. So even if it did make more power, iit'll probably be in a differnet place on the power curve so you won't even be able to take advantage of it if you are not in it all the time.
The traditional AEM CAI hump is usually below the RPM upshift points so there really isn't any gain in it when racing except maybe in 1st gear?

so true.
wasn't there a huge thread on some guy testing sri vs cai and the only difference was the hump and like 1-2 in the higher end.....

you're exactly the kind of person AEM wants to sell to.
Oh well.. I just bought this online a couple days ago. Hopefully it gets shipped in soon and I will put it on and let you all know how it turns out. The only thing though, since it was only made for manuals, my friend and I are going to have to do some moving to allow the 4" of love to go down through. I'll keep you all updated on how it turns out though.
