WHAT PRELUDE MOTOR SHOULD I GET FOR MY CAR (TURBO)
THANKS.... PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE...
-prelude ecu, engine harness, tranny, axles, everything from the prelude youll need inorder to get it done
-You have to buy special motor mounts for this application, HASsport sells them or PlaceRacing.
-approx. 45-60lbs more front-end wieght...slight compromise in steering/handling
-custom manifold is needed inorder to fit a turbo without cutting a hole in the hood

type S motor or ANY K series WILL NOT fit into any civic or teg or prelude. If you got it to, after all that work, it would'nt really be a teg or civic or prelude anymore anyways.

yeah he was talking about the Jdm Prelude Type-S motor... and a K-series engine WILL fit into a gen 6. Dr. Charles Madrid did the swap on this one site. Custom mounts and shit. looks really awkward.
-yeah and about my car, i have a lame ass Civic Dx right now, and i notice that it handles a lot better, a lot slower though. But its not something that youre gonna be like, "Whoa, this car feels unsafe," no its not like that at all. I think its a whole bunch of angry ricers that cant afford shit that talk the shit. Just a lot of hype. And my car ran perfect, without AC, without power steering, and my girlfriend HATED it. -she races old camaros. She was like,"How come your AC dont work anymore?" I'm like,"Girl, with this H22 in the engine bay, where do you think that AC compressor is gonna mount at?" With a bewildered look on her face, "Whats an AC compressor?" With a turn of my head onto the passing traffic, I quietly chukled... (ok so this was before HCP engineering came out with a AC bracket)
so your saying you loved the power, and didn't really notice the weight issue that everyone seems to talk about... how much did you pay for the motor/mounts/install? ever run it on the track?> were you able to keep the power steering or did it have to go? also who makes the ac bracket that you were talking about?
ok, with an h22 in a teg and mounts from like hasport or whoever, do u save both a/c and power steering or does one of them have to go, or could u just find a place to stuff em somewhere in the engine bay and do a lil re-routing.
