APEXi DIGITAL VTEC AFC VERSION 2?

Is this something worth buying? I wanted to get something to play with my vtec settings and air flow ratio. Is it hard to tune this thing and hard to install? I have a 95 integra GSR.

What can I buy for $285 that will ad HP besides :

headers, obd1 jun chipped ecu, high flow cat converter, cat-exhaust, and cold air intake?

its worth buying once you have internal work done like cams. getting it to just "play around with vtec" is stupid.

How about some better tires or a brake pad upgrade? Or about 6 to 7 Autocrosses or 1 track (HPDE) day?

Horsepower isn't always the answer and is not what makes you fast.

The driver (and honing skills and developing experience) is the #1 thing to concentrate on and too many times overlooked.

Yes, a VAFC can adjust your Vtec engagement and your Air Fuel ratio but as Snoopy already mentioned it won't add staggering gains, save it till you get some more aggressive cams which are also a very good idea but will cost more than $285.

Where is a good place to get new cams and cam gears? Any good brands that I should go with?

how much you want to spend and where you want the power are things to be taken into consideration.

Absolutely!

A budget and then your goals are the first things to consider unless you want to continue tossing money away.

Stock USDM ITR cams for model years 2000 and 2001 are OEM Honda, relatively cheap (can be had for about $400 to $450. all over) are certainly reliable and will provide noticeable gains.
