CRXican is on a distinguished road
It amazes me when people with such high post counts ask such basic/elementary questions about the cars which you'd assume they'd read much about.

GS, LS, SE, GSR, Type-R

The gs,ls,and se has the b18a/b engines (140hp). They came in automatic and manual. And had various interior differences.

The GSR has the b18c1 engine (170hp). They came with manual trannys.

The Type-R hast the b18c5 engine (195hp). They came with manual trannys.

Try searching.

IF you just wanted a swap and do not plan on adding any mods, then the type r would be the best chioce.

Ask the right question, get the right answer.
Engine swap power and potential is relative to what the end result that you want is.........drag, street race, 1/4mile, etc.........
Really run a search on swaps and stuff man because it will yield the most answers for you.
b18c5 is good for N/A but is already highlyy tuned, etc........
run a search, it'll help you out a hell of a lot more than posting in here.

Swaps can run anywhere from 2-6g's man depending on how much the person/company you buy from wants to rip you off, or depending on engine condition, parts, mileage, type of engine.....stuff like that.

Buildup potential, well you have turbo, n2o, supercharger, n/a, so really run a good ass searchh, it takes longer but again yields the most answers that you want.

Damn it people, Osaka motors told me that GSRs did come in automatic and from 1996 and up it had sport shift.
