Yeah, that's Blake Fuller's Integra. He actually ran that car in the race at Pike's Peak and blew the origional motor which he had Supercharged. But has since acquired a WRX/STi as well.
Yep, cool stuff and he's a cool guy. I've talked to him before, he's very down to earth.
hes on ht or am I thinking of a different guy? (remember a fs thread there with an itr I believe that had something special and ran at pikes peak) could be a different car/guy?

I read the lastest on it in the Jan issue. They got it to run and drove it on a dirt road. They were taking it easy for a little while then they decided to go a little faster. After they started going faster they heard some weird sounds so they stopped driving it. They used a cr-v tranny which they say mounts right up to the b18b motor they used.
nguyen you're right, this set up isn't worth the money. To go through all of this you might as well go buy a wrx. It's a great project to do just for curiousity but I don't think any companies will flock to make kits for this.
Mods: 14" 500W Clarion Sub + 4x interior speakers running off Alpine deck; Autotechnica steering wheel; HKS Pod filter; Black Widow bodykit; 2x AERPro 48" Blue Neon, 2x AERPro 36" Blue Neon, custom switch settings
Haven't heard anything on that, but I'm very interested. It'd be nice to see Honda get into the WRC. I don't know if it does any minor performances elsewhere in the world, but I never see Honda entering races around West Aussie...
Like you say it's expensive and maybe not worth the money, but if you can keep a very high performance with the AWD, it would be very interesting for the sake of being unique. Besides, it looks so much better than a WRX

dont plan on going wrc but awd teg just appeals to me, it i can get parts used (fairly cheap) and find out how to do it, it wont cost as much as to have some one do it if i can do it myself, and yes i would be a fun project just to see an acura chirp all fours hahahaha

a honda/acura with awd wont be as reliable as a fwd would be. it will be like a dsm lol...more shit to go wrong and to brake down.if you want an awd car just go out and buy one that already has it on from the factory. just my 2 cents.

No lotus is MR drivetrain, and integra zxi are 4 door if you are referring to the jdm integra with awd, I think the 2d integra looks much more sporty and aggresive than a 4d just my opinion, and yes the subject at hand is a expensive undertaking but like i have said before, with the right connections, resources, and knowledge it can be done at a affordable price the dependable reliability

From what I hear about the CRV AWD setup, I wouldn't bother.
The crv AWD setup always powers the front wheels and only send power to the rear wheels when there is a loss of traction. I think the system would be to slow to react in racing conditions.
But then again, with all the modifying neccessary to make a teg AWD, it would probably easy to modify the way the AWD system works in comparison.
I think it's safe to say that this mod is not for the average enthusiast/mechanic. lol
Honda built a prototype integra back in 1994 with AWD and supercharged, had approx. 235hp. An english magazine (Autocar) tested it and said it drove like a dream but as we now know, Honda never put it into production. Instead they went the Type R route, can't complain about that.
