b16 head on GSR Block

My friend has a b16 head for sale and i was wondering how it would work on my gsr block. I want to send the b16 head to get port and polished, new springs, valves, retainers along with new cams. i don't want to have to send my gsr head, so I was thinking about buying this b16 head and sending that in. I already have a p28 ECU that doesn't work well with my GSR intake manifold, so I was thinking that a b16 head would be better. But will timing be an issue witha different head. The distance from the crank to the cam gears. I think I seen it, but I need to be for sure before buyin this head. It is a OBDII head on my OBDII GSR with OBDI reprogrammed ECU. Need comments and information.

with that head on a stock gsr block your compression will be about 9.8:1. good if you're going turbo, not if you're going NA.

i had that set up a couple of months ago...i took my gsr head off and went for a itr head with skunk stage2 and custom ports........in doing so i sacraficed about .2 compression i milled the head .002 thousands to make up for it.........why not port your GSR head and get a skunk im.....and mill the head .003 thousand then u raised your compression.........i went with the itr head because of stronger valves...and the LCA plus i didn't want any downtime....i got my car back that day too....so that was a plus
