b16a head on my gsr?

my friend suggested that i swap a b16a head on my b18c1 block because it flows better and and i need a b16a head to fit the itr intake manifold. anyone ever heard of this? is it worth 300? i am also plannig on getting itr cams, itr intake manifold, obd1 conversion with custom ecu programming. someone offered me 500 for my head and intake manifold. should i do this? im thinking by the end of summer

ok check it out
this is a type-r head:
a itr head is a b16a, but its bored out more than the standard b16a head

now u can buy a skunk2 intake manifold 4 ur gsr head i hope u know that. its same design as the itr but it is bored out more 2 give u more pwr. what u have planned 2 do, im going 2 do but with my gs-r head. because u spending 300 bucks on a b16a is the same price as the skunk2 IM.

well the itr head is a b16a head that has been bored and ported, so the difference is probably not too much between a gsr one and a b16a one... if you like, get hte b16, and bore it out and port it, but dont rely on me for the difference in b16 to b18c heads cuz i really dont know for sure...

what exactly do u plan on doing to ur gsr? is it just a straight head swap? r u going to replace the pistons? if ur just swapping the gsr head for the b16 head for better flow, ur going to be better off with ur gsr head and skunk2 manifold. check out this flow comparison:

also, keep in mind that if u plan on just sticking with ur stock pistons, swapping a b16 or ITR head on ur gsr block will lower ur compression since the b16 and ITR combustion chambers are larger when compared to tighter combustion specs to that of the gsr's.
