Hey Guys, Skunk 2 finally got back to me. So anything for the B16A will fit the B17A. I've got springs, valves, retainers, throttle body, intake, and stage 1 cams ordered can't wait to install.

no it's not. it's just rare. b17's aren't really any better than b16's considering they are the same motor. one just has .1 liter over the other. i crawled past a 91 civic hatchback with i/h/e with my stock 1997 gsr. it will respond to modsl like a b16.....not very well. that year gsr is only quick because it's light as fuck

it's from a 1993 gsr. it's basically a b16 with .1 more liter. it's not any better. if you want noticeable gains with that car. do short ram intake. 2.25 ehaust, skunk 2 cams, 4-2-1 header, and tune the fuck out of it. should give you a nice gain with a little more linear power over stock. that car is already on par with type r teggy's do those mods and dc5's will be no match for you in stock trim

Hey Guys, I am thinking of getting some Type R pistons from the B16B. I am wondering if they will work with my B17A? Here is some specs
Bore 81
Head CC's 42.7
Stroke 77.0
Connecting rod ratio 1.74
Connecting rod length 134.00
that is from the B16B.
My engine is
Bore 81
Head CC's 42.7
Stroke 81.4
Connecting Rod Ratio 1.62
Connecting rod Length 131.87
I think I can just swap the pistons over what do you guys think?

B18c's and B17 used the same cams.

I was correcting an above post.
As far as I know you can use the same rods. B-series parts are for the most part interchangeable. The thing thats going to be different internally will be the length of your rods.
But your going to have to pull your block apart to get your pistons out tho, i take it you knew that?
