Hey guys, I plan on eventually going turbo with my car and I was going to over bore slightly and get some new low comp pistons. So what I wanted to know is the 90-91 b18a open deck? If so I plan on using a block gaurd or whatever it is called to support the cylinder walls.
if i remember correctly, i think there was an open deck h22 as well as the closed deck one.
Hmmmm....I will do some research to find out which ones were open and closed
From what I have found out (other sites "Says" but no pics) the H22A1 is closed and the H22A4 is open. I will try to find pics but this just proves to "Mr GSR" that not all Honda engines are Open Deck.
No flaming intended...

gsr i believe is closed deck and low compresion pstons vs. the typr which is open deck and high compression pistons then again i could be wrong but i dought it

you are wrong, i dont doubt that. they share the exact same block.
ouch, snoopy. you are an asshole, correcting him when he's already been corrected by me. haha jp. this forum is 50% bs, 25% rice, and 25% good info. it sucks that you have to know the info already to weed out the bs.
