bad news... GOOD NEWS! new TEG

so, what should be the saddest day ever turned out to be the best! I was chillin a few days ago with some buddies, and we we're stopped at a red light. And some DRUNK ASSHOLE rearended my friends 2.5RS, which smashed into back of my 95 ls/vtec... SHIT! so after all the hub bub bullshit with the cops, it turns out that he had a revoked license, and somehow Liberty Mutual f*cked up and insured him... wtf? thats what im thinkin, till they sent the premium guy out to inspect my car. So evidently off the record they payed me more than the car was even worth? idk if thats even legal.. but my mom says she thinks they didnt want us to sue... Anyway, so i walked out with 14000, bout double the cars value... cha ching, so yesterday i picked up a new teg. JIZZ in love, kills my old one, needs a little body work but that motor is type nasty! tell me what u think

Honestly, I wouldnt have bought a modded car (even though the list looks good).

Can I ask what you payed for it?

BTW, whats up with the Skunk2 sticker and no Skunk2 products in the mod list?

i agree. do you even know the true condition of the engine? did you get a full inspection done? leakdown? anything that gives you any indication that it's in good shape?

hmm well i had it inspected, passed obviously, and i bought it from a family friend sorta, man that works with my dad, gave me full records from new, all reciepts, and i called the shop that did all his work b4 i bought it and they had the car on file, type r head, rebuilt bottom end, new clutch and skunk2 cam gears at 74,xxx. Car was used as daily driver and 4 times auto-cross. Never dragged. Guy wanted to drag it, and auto cross it, but never had time.. so i say his loss, my gain.. keep opinions comin dudes..

Well, if the guy you bought it from is a trusted family friend, good deal. I would still get a compression/leakdown test for shits and giggles.

I'm with you, BTW I edited your pics so the pics would show up in here. Anyway I personally wouldn't have bought a modded car I would've gone out and bought a 2000$ Civic hatch and put the rest of the money into a serious engine swap etc. But its alright, i don't like the rims or the stickers but the rest is pretty nice. BTW i want to see pics of the LS/VTEC and shit, before accident after accident, what did you do with the engine and trans and stuff, just sold it to the insurance company I guess...

I have to agree with these guys, I dont like buying cars that are already modded... My bro bought a 96 Civic that was all pimped out by someone before hand.. turns out the guy did a shitty job and the suspension and steering are really screwed... /shrug Shit happens I guess.. But, if the guy had all his work done at a shop and not a home, and they have papers for everything that was done, its probably more reliable than most.....
