Battery Terminals....
Ok after days of pulling the negative terminal on and off to try to figure out my radio code(Girlfriend wouldn't let me go without a radio) the negative terminal seems a bit weak...doesn't grab as well as it did when i started...sooo
What do you guys suggest in the way of new terminals...(I'd like to upgrade beyond the stock thin wimpy looking ones...i know this isn't needed but since i'm doing it might as well get the best available)i know i can go to any stereo shop and pick up a pair of those monster copper terminals...but are those the best??
While i'm doing this i'm also going to upgrade the Big 4!(Battery to ground, engine to ground, alternator to ground, and tranny to ground) what guage wire is suggested...should i joust go as big as i can? i.e. 0/1 gauge?(I'm going to regrind the areas that the wires ground too also...just incase they got dirty or something over the last 6 years)
No need for excessive regrind. Just get a battery post terminal cleaner and clean the battery terminal post as well as the cable up before connecting it.
As for the post connector, you can get them at local auto parts store or walmart. Just cut the cable up and reattach it. Good as new.
If you are looking to re-wire it with a new cable, just mahe sure you get the attachment for the other end of the cable to go to the body.

i'd get the cheap ones from walmart or the auton parts store too. ive used the car stereo ones and they are a pita. they are big and bulkie, allens are a pain, you have to take the terminal off to mess with the wire connections and you have to use washers because they dont tighten down all the way.
did you get a new terminal yet? i have an extra, give me a call i'll give you the extra one i got, for some reason when i ordred my - and + batt. terminals, i got 2 neg's. so you can have my extra if you still need it.
