i want to run a higher compression in my ls wut compression u think would be good for an N/A setup. also from wut manufacture u think would u get rods and the pistons?
You need to figure out what cams, headwork, etc. you are going to run. There isn't one best C/R ratio, you have to match it to the rest of the package.

That isn't nearly enough info dude, you want between 11:0:1 and 12:5:1 running pump gas will need alot of tuning are you looking to do LS/VTEC or All motor LS or what...need more info.

more info.. you cant just be running high compression... with a stock head. dude.. more info as in.. are you wanting to go all motor.. non vtec? or are you wanting to go Vtec?.. your going to have to build it right and let everything match up right.. if your wanting to go ls/vtec.. start from bottom up.. from bore'd out block("maybe" new sleeves),pistons, p&p B16a/b, B18c, B18c5 head, Vtec oil line, new valves, new valve springs, Cams, Cam gears, then your bolt on I/H/E, some electronics.. Apexi VAFC, chipped ecu.. mostly about it.. everyone catch my drift?

You can run all motor LS but I find it pretty pointless. For All motor LS I'd run 11:5:1 c/r but it won't make gobs of power without cams like Crower 403-404's...you havn't given me enough details on what you want the car to do, drag, street, auto-x, road race? Alot more planning is needed on your part and alot more resarch needs to be done by you on your own time using the search function. I have a friend that ran all motor LS, it didn't last it wasn't fast enough and he was running 11:1 C/R with crower 404's so eventually he just turbocharged a LS engine. Anyway do more research and figure out your overall goals with the car and what you want the car to do.

Some people (like me) race in events such as autocross, which benefit from lots of midrange torque. For me, spending $2k on my LS and getting more peak torque than most i/h/c/e GS-Rs, peaking at only 4300rpm, with 85%+ of that available from 2200rpm is a big benefit, not to mention a lot of fun in daily driving. There is not much time in an autocross where I could be utilizing a 6-8k VTEC range, most of my time is spent 3500-5000rpm.

Mods: JDM ITR FE conversion. All-motor goodies. Hondata system.
I too agree that it kind of depends on how much tuning you want. I feel that when going all motor go with the highest compression you can get away with for the fuel and engine management you'll run.
For example... I'm going to run 92 pump fuel, use a Hondata, and I feel that 12.2:1 is pretty dang good.
