Black smoke!!??
Hey guys my boy was drivin behind me today and he said i was blowin out some black smoke when i get on it. What does that mean? Burning oil?

Usually that means you are running rich, but some people say burning oil. Was he sure it was black black or was it blueish?

you should check if your oil if its running low. if not check your gas. or injectors..

if its only when ur gassing from a stop its most likely that ur running rich, but u shoulfd do a check-up just in case

what kind of check up? and im pretty sure its black b/c i saw it when i first bought the car. I just hope my rings arent bad or anything else that is expensive to fix.

I'm having the same problem. Today my bro noticed my car was blowing black smoke when I gunned it so I think I'm gonna get my fpr adjusted since i also have the fuel rail, manifold done too. The irony in all this that he told me 15 min before he blew his engine which was pretty funny since now we are trying to decide wether to go with a b16 or a b18c1. The b16 we can get the full set up for 700 and the b18c1 for 1300 complete so were trying to decide which one.

it is a problem, but not a bad one. just shitty gas mileage and soot on your bumper

sometimes but rarely ill see some black smoke puff out of my car too..but im boosted does that have something to do with it for me?...and its only wen i smashed the crap out of it...

It's normal for a puff a smoke to come out of your tailpipe when you smash the throttle between gears,your scavenging the cylinders,as long as it is a blackish brown color and not blue then I say it's normal.

shit man, i know a decent ammount about hondas, but i dont really know the fix for this other than just getting a fpr and leaning it out a bit
